Recorded a couple of years ago and for some strange reason never released, a beautiful refound gem

From The Bordellos Underground Tape Volume 5, released January 29, 2017.

A song originally written for Dee Claw to sing but she never got around to it. This one was influenced by Lee Hazelwood as he is a great writer of ballads and this is actually one of my faves . I remember Dan sang this originally but I thought his version was over dramatic, a bit like Nick Cave emoting the death scene from on The Waterfront. So we scrubbed it and I re-recorded the vocals. I know what you are thinking, that is like removing Jim Morrison from the Doors and replacing him with Jim Davidson [shite British comedian, slightly racist ], although I am not racist but I am British and a shite.
